A Toxic Cloud Over Our Territory

Do you work in AI and want to learn more about the socio-environmental impacts of data centers beyond the US and Europe? On February 10 (1 p.m. UTC), Paz Peña from DataCenterBoom! will be speaking online about the socio-environmental consequences of AI Data Centers in Latin America, spotlighting local and regional resistance movements, and unpacking the urgent geopolitical challenges these infrastructures pose for the future.

This talk is part of the AI Literacy Center at Oregon State University’s interesting “Critical AI Literacy in Practice and Community” Speaker Series.
