Data centers for AI at COP 30

The socio-environmental impacts of data centers for Artificial Intelligence, including their contributions to greenhouse gas emissions and the energy transition, are the focus of the COP 30 conversation.

The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the annual summit of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), where member states make decisions by consensus on the progress of the UNFCCC.

In 2025, the conference will be held in Belém do Pará, Brazil, from November 10 to 21, and Data Center Boom! will be present at the Instituto Brasileiro de Defesa do Consumidor (IDEC) event titled “Data centers: connecting struggles in the face of the socio-environmental and technological crisis” on November 12.

In an upcoming post, we will tell you more about the COP30 discussion on AI and its data centers.
